Grieving? Read These Five Books in 2018

My favorite books for grievers and the folks who love them.

If you listen to my podcast, you know that my mom’s death drove me to become what I like to call a “student of grief.” Her sudden departure from my life brought me to a place of massive questioning, and I leaned heavily on the stories and wisdom of others to process my loss.

I find a lot of solace in books, and since my mom’s death I’ve made it a point to keep up my “studies” through reading.

Below are the best five books I read this year. Add them to your shelf in 2018 if you or someone you love is grieving.

5. On Grief and Grieving: Finding the Meaning of Grief Through the Five Stages of Loss by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross & David Kessler

Now, a lot of folks in the grief community might jump down my throat seeing this book on the list, but hear me out. The five stages of grief (and this book) aren’t what you think.
